Bethesda once went on record by saying Fallout 3 would only have three downloadable episodes that would only be released for Xbox 360 and PC. Not too long ago speculation started to arise due to comments Pete Hines made suggesting Broken Steel may not be the last piece of DLC based on high sales. We now know that there will be two additional Fallout 3 episodes called Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta that will be released over the next couple months for Xbox 360, PC and PS3.
The PS3 is finally getting some Fallout love as well, starting in late June with Operation Anchorage followed by The Pitt and Broken Steel at an estimated 4-6 weeks apart. The episodes will be released only on the PlayStation Network or through purchasing the Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition. All five episodes will be included in the GotY edition when it releases in October for $60 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions and $50 for PC. Two add-on packs which include two episodes each will be released in Europe starting on June 2 and the second pack will be released in August.
The two new episodes called Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta will first be released in June and July for Xbox 360 and PC for 800 MS points ($10) but the PS3 versions will be released after the previous three episodes have been released. Point Lookout takes place in a giant swampland and Mothership Zeta contains aliens that abduct our character and we must kill them all in true Fallout fashion.
