Ahhh, the joys of trecking through the African tundra. Since Afrika was only available to Japanese PS3 owners us westerners had only the choice of watching the Discovery Channel or trailers for the game itself in order to try to grasp what it must be like. No more! Natsume has announced that they are bringing the safari simulator to North America some time during early Fall of this year picking up the slack from National Geographic, who was originally going to be putting the game out in the US.
It doesn’t look like much has changed since the Japanese release, but obviously the all the language will be in English. The game still tasks players with photographing wildlife in an area that looks extremely like an African reserve. Think Pokemon Snap, but ridiculously realistic. We’re just glad to see such a unique game get a shot, especially on the quirky game devoid PS3.
