Not so long ago, we reported that the new Batman adventure Arkham Asylum would be delayed until the end of summer. An Eidos press release today confirmed that American gamers can finally don the famous rubber suit and act out all their fantasies on Aug 25. Well, maybe not all their fantasies - just the ones that involve beating the snot out of a guy wearing make-up.

European gamers will have to wait three days extra, as the Rocksteady Studios title won’t be released until Aug 28 over there. The game should be worth the wait, though, if Eidos’ own trumpet-blowing is to be believed. Guess we’ll all find out in three months’ time if the Caped Crusader really can hold his own.
