E3 2009 / Kojima announces next Metal Gear for 360 |

Hideo Kojima took the stage and announced that the Metal Gear Solid franchise will be coming to the Xbox 360 at Microsoft’s E3 press conference - starting at the very least with the next game in the series, Metal Gear Rising. Kojima’s announcement came with a sneaky little teaser trailer which has added little more than the teaser site that appeared a couple of weeks ago, though it did emphasise that this game will be about Raiden specifically (as opposed to Solid Snake).
No word yet on whether “bringing the franchise” means that will include previous installation, namely Metal Gear Solid 4. So those hoping for that announcement may have to hold their breaths just that little bit longer for closure there.
