Smack dab in the middle of EA’s press conference yesterday afternoon, Peter Moore slipped in an announcement for a MMA game currently in development by EA Tiburon. No real details of this latest combat sports endeavor were on display outside of concept art and a targeted 2010 release. Moore also made no mention of the UFC name despite promoting the inclusion of some of the world’s top MMA fighters, so we’ll have to wait and see who EA will be digitizing for this first foray into the genre. At least with the makers of Madden and Tiger Woods Golf at the helm, we can be assured that EA SPORTS MMA isn’t just a cash-in on the ever expanding sport.
