The screenshots and video below offer our first look into Kaos Studios’ second game under THQ, Homefront, and as someone who liked their previous game, Frontlines: Fuel of War, I have to say it’s hard to really say anything much about them at this point. Homefront looks and feels a lot like Frontlines, and is even reusing some assets (a whole vehicle even), but has a distinct lack of those little man-controlled drones we love so much here at TVGB (ok, that may just be me). We do see a six-wheeler called Goliath that can bash through buildings, which is of course always handy, and a big drone that brings destruction from above. But while these are cool and all, they’re no substitute for flying your little choppa up a sniper’s butt and detonating it.
Homefront is being developed for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A release date is yet to be specified.
