It may not have been one of the most talked about games this past week at E3, but Avalanche Studio’s gameplay video for Just Cause 2 shouldn’t be overlooked. The game puts you back in the shoes of Rico Rodriguez, this time relocated to a fictional island in Southeast Asia. Your goal is to take down yet another evil dictator while ensuing as much chaos as possible.
The amount of options at your disposal in this game is ridiculous. I encourage you to watch all ten minutes of the video, as the game continues to surprise. If this little slice of gameplay pays any testament to the final product, this will be the open world action game to play in 2010.

I played the first Just Cause and I really liked it, though it seems the JC 2 relies far too heavily on the grappling mechanic to my liking.

The way I see it, the parachute and grappling hook just provide a much faster way of getting around and new attacking options. The player can still can keep running if he/she so wishes.
I like it, I just hope the controls are sharp and solid and very much unlike Mercs2 (which killed the game for me).
