The parkour parade is coming back to town according to EA’s senior VP in Europe Patrick Soderlund. Despite weak sales and general complaints surrounding the game it looks like EA is ready to take another leap of faith in a sequel to Mirror’s Edge. “You will see another Mirror’s Edge for sure,” Soderlund said. “It’s just a matter of when that time is and what we do with it. We have a small team on it and I’m excited about what we do.”
The first Mirror’s Edge was a refreshing look on the first-person genre, but not without flaws. However, it appears that EA is aware of the issues with the first one and are looking to improve upon the good aspects of it. “The game wasn’t perfect by any means. We would have liked the game to sell better even though the game has sold better than most people think,” explains Soderlund. Unfortunately there are no real details on Mirror’s Edge 2 and no word on a possible release time frame.

I think I’m the only one I know who didn’t like the first game. I’m of the opinion parkour needs to be seen to be appreciated.
