The lovable multiplayer free-for-all Fat Princess will not be hitting the PlayStation Network this month. This past Thursday, Sony’s Mike Webby commented in response to release date questions on PlayStation Blog Europe, “Fat Princess will have a global release date, but I can confirm for you it will not be next week. I’m afraid the game is coming at some point this summer, but there is no confirmed release date at the moment.”

While the delay is a bit disappointing, a global release date means we’ll all be able to enjoy the food-ridden mayhem at once. Also, Webby did say “this summer”, so it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing the game in either July or August. Until then, envy your beta code friends and don’t be surprised if the arrival of a certain overweight diplomat takes a little extra time.
