During his latest podcast, Microsoft’s Major Nelson said that a “faster” guide will be part of the next Xbox 360 dashboard update but failed to provide a firm release date besides ‘later this year.’

Nelson claims that the guide will be much faster and that he’s been “intimately involved” in its development and praises the development team by saying, “The team has done some really good stuff around making performance enhancements.”

While that may sound like they’re created Xbox Viagra, Nelson promised that it would have lots of cool new features (Games on Demand, Facebook and Twitter have been revealed so far) and would be better than the existing format.
