Shia LaBeouf has been hailed as both the best, and the worst, thing to come out of Hollywood in years. Okay, so he wasn’t that great in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. And he wasn’t that great in Eagle Eye. Or in Transformers for that matter but he got to star opposite Megan Fox so we’ll let that one slide.

Still, the dude’s an avid gamer and no stranger to controversy so it should come as little surprise that, during an interview with Big Download, the actor said that “I don’t mess with the Wii, to be honest with you. It’s kind of an amateur console. I’m not into the Wii thing.”

Oh it gets better. LaBeouf also said “a simple way you can find out if it’s a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there.”

While we don’t agree with his comments, it’s interesting to note that while the Xbox 360 and PS3 are trying to escape their hardcore image so as not to alienate casual gamers, Nintendo’s console is trying to do exactly the opposite.
