Tekken 6 out in October, preorder treats inbound
BY Jeremy Hill Jun. 22nd, 2009 More on:

If Street Fighter IV was not enough fighting game to quench your thirst perhaps the return of Tekken will. Namco Bandai has laid down an October 27, 2009, North American release date for Tekken 6 on PS3 and Xbox 360 with Europe and Asian territories coming shortly after. These days no major release is complete without some kind of preorder incentive and Tekken 6 is bringing the goods to all retail stores.

The Tekken 6 Wireless Fight Stick Bundle will be available at retail for $149.99 for both PS3 and Xbox 360. It will include a copy of Tekken 6, Hori wireless fight stick, and an art book. Gamestop will be getting an exclusive calendar and downloadable content designed by Penny Arcade, one of which is the Penny Arcade Samurai Pack which includes the Cardboard Tube Samurai we mentioned earlier. It also includes Samurai Battle Banners that can be used to customize all the fighters in the game.

Those of us that remember Tekken Force from a long time ago will be happy to know that it will be returning in some form. A new scenario campaign mode that plays out like a beat’em up. It can even be played cooperatively online. We’ll also be able to pick up guns and recruit giant robots.
