Browser Battlefield finally ready for heroes
BY Chad George Jun. 25th, 2009 More on:

Last we heard about DICE’s browser based Battlefield Heroes was that it was in beta and could possibly be coming to a console soon. So imagine our surprise when we fired up the TVGB intertubes today and had the game offer to download the full, non-beta version.

The free-to-play online third person shooter operates via a client, weighing in at around 400 MB, downloaded to our computer and launches in a separate window. We went in, created a character for our chosen faction, and started playing around a bit. Our initial impression is that the game is a blast, especially when we jumped on an airplane wing and started sniping people while doing barrel rolls.

More details later as we dig deeper into the game… oh, who are we kidding. We are having fun flying planes and shooting stuff with our tanks. See you on the battlefield.
