Following the recent news of Toby Gard being appointed the lead designer at Crystal Dynamics, we get a new, and not a very cryptic hint that the company is indeed chipping away on the next Lara Croft outing. The Plaxo profile of Chris Conway, a Crystal Dynamics senior programmer from 2006 to 2008, says the man worked on “AI & gameplay for an unannounced project and a Tomb Raider game scheduled for release in 2010 or later.”

Conway has since moved on and is currently working on The Saboteur as the principal programmer at Pandemic Studios. Let’s just hope he didn’t lie on the ol’ resume to score that gig.
