Vigil Games is a very new developer on the block and Darksiders will be their debut game later this year. From the looks of the trailer it appears that Vigil is starting out strong. In Darksiders we’ll get to play out the end of times as one of the four horseman of the apocalypse who have been stripped of their powers. The setting is a post-apocalyptic world where now heaven and hell are fighting for what’s left.

The gameplay looks fast paced and action packed, resembling both God of War and Dante’s Inferno. The graphics aren’t perfect but stunning nonetheless and the animation is spot on. Some of the creatures are really interesting and we’re excited to see all of what the Darksiders universe offers us. From what we’ve seen and heard so far, the game from the newcomer developer looks well polished and even instills some faith for their next project, Warhammer 40,000 the MMO.
