This might be one of the least interesting weeks for downloading games on Nintendo platforms in a good long while. We were on a solid streak of having at least two or three games that were great every week, but today ends said streak with Water Warfare (Hudson Entertainment, Players: 1-8, E10+ – Cartoon Violence, 800 Wii Points), Reel Fishing Challenge (Natsume, Inc., Players: 1, E , 500 Wii Points) and Silver Star Reversi (Agetec, Inc., Players: 1-2, E, 500 Wii Points) for WiiWare; Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa (SEGA MASTER SYSTEM, SEGA, Players: 1, E – Mild Cartoon Violence, 500 Wii Points) for the VC; SUDOKU MASTER (Hudson Entertainment, Players: 1, E, 500 Nintendo DSi Points) for DSiWare.
I can knock two of these out with some very basic descriptions.Fishing Challenge is more fishing on the Wii, Sudoku Master is Sudoku on your DS. If you’re looking for either of those, you’re set to go. Water Warfare is a kid friendly FPS, which, upon further consideration, might be great for parents whose kids are begging for an FPS but they don’t want all the blood and shooting. Silver Star Reversi hits up the classic puzzle game of Reversi while toting some very basic features such as multiplayer and being able to turn the music on and off (seriously, the press release points these things out.)
If I had to download a game this week it would be Fantasy Zone II. The fist one is a blast and this one is pretty good too. Nothing I’d clamor for, but the unique art style make it a shooter that is at least really interesting and the game plays really well. If you dug the first, jump on this.
