$400 PS3 bundle with Killzone 2 and MGS4
BY Chris Barraclough Jul. 4th, 2009 More on:

You lucky Americans. Not only do you get a weekend of partying, boozing and general mischief because your ancestors took exception to British types strutting about a couple of hundred years ago, but you also get a $400 PS3 bundle featuring two of the best games released on the system so far, courtesy of Best Buy. The 80GB bundle was apparently confirmed by a number of Best Buy employees, and will probably be enough to tempt those still on the fence about grabbing Sony’s console.

Yeah, yeah, I was thinking about picking up a Blu-Ray player, but this right here has gotten my attention.

Owen, Nintendo and MS also bundle games with their consoles. Don’t like the games? You can buy another bundle or buy this one and sell/trade them for games you do want. I for one think it’s cool you can get a bundle which gives you two 90+ Metacritic rated games for free.

Incidentally, is this more proof of stock clearance for PS3 Fat…….?

Seems like a good way to get rid of stock. Throw in a couple of great games.

Weren’t they also going to throw in Wall-E? Was that another bundle?

      PS3Slim/bigger HDDs here we come.

Yup, definitely seems like a shrewd move, anticipating the upcoming skinny version or even the much-heralded price cut. Although at this point, it seems like Sony would rather set fire to orphans and roll around in the ashes than cut a few dollars from the price tag.
