For individuals that have diabetes, one of the challenges comes in maintaining a consistent amount of glucose in your system. However, constantly checking it can be tedious and not everyone has the discipline to do so.
For those that need that extra bit of motivation, and that just happen to own Nintendo’s DS, Pharma firm Bayer has created a plug-in to help keep track of one’s glucose levels. It encourages players to achieve consistent glucose levels, and for players that do so, they are rewarded with points that can be used to buy new items or levels in a game.
Personally, this device sounds like a great idea and it can help in removing some of the minor inconveniences that come with other methods of testing; however, just don’t think of using this with your DSi, as this plug-in requires use of the GBA slot on the original DS and the Lite.
