Star Wars: The Old Republic may well be a big steaming pile of Ewok poop, destined to end up in the bargain bin with all the other Star Wars rubbish. Or it could be a planet-destroying monster, snatching players from World of Warcraft and dominating the MMO market for years to come. We just don’t know yet. But we do know this: BioWare make some seriously sweet trailers for it.

This particular vid doesn’t hit the heights of the one shown at E3 - and considering that was the best Star Wars related thing we’ve seen in years, that should come as no surprise - but it rocks in its own subtle way. The third in a running series designed to introduce us to the game’s timeline (parts 1 and 2 after the jump, if you missed them), The Return of the Mandalorians is less an all-action trailer and more of a narrative montage. Remember those Dead Space vids? Yeah, it’s a bit like that, but with less gore and more Jedi.

We’re not really ones to get stuck into the extended Star Wars universe here at TVGB, but when it’s done with this much style, then it’s hard to resist. Especially when there may be an awesome game at the end of it.
