Syphon Filter and Socom sequels may or may not be in development |

The facts: PCB Productions is a digital content creation group that focuses on supplying videogames with music, dialogue, and motion capture animation. The firm is well established within the industry and has worked on such games as BioShock, the Call of Duty series, and the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter series. Of particular note to Sony fans, PCB has listed Syphon Filter 5 and Socom 4 as “in development” on its website.
The speculation: If these games are on PCB’s list, then they must truly be in development. It would make sense that a digital content provider would be involved with a game during the early, behind-the-scenes stages.
The caveat: PCB’s list of titles is not completely accurate. Ubisoft has confirmed that its Wii shooting/swashbuckling title Red Steel is certainly not headed for the Xbox 360 and PS2, despite being listed as such on PCB’s site.
The meaning of all this: Neither Sony nor PCB are commenting on the existence of these titles, so there’s no way to be sure if they really exist. But, like Peter Pan, we’re hoping that if we concentrate enough happy thoughts on these games, they’ll actually fly.
