Bear vs. SharkKing Kong vs. GodzillaIron Man vs. Bruce Lee. As a society, we have an unstoppable penchant for pitting the most devastating forces against one another and delighting in the cataclysmic fallout that ensues. It’s no wonder then that PopCap’s latest bit of digital crack, Plants vs. Zombies, has been its fastest-selling game — even managing to wrestle some mind share from the mighty Peggle.

Speaking with Kombo, PopCap’s Senior Director of Public Relations Garth Chouteau all but confirmed that the success of Plants vs. Zombies on the PC means the struggle between flora and flesh eaters will continue on other platforms. After mentioning that PopCap has projects in the works for DSi, PSN, Xbox, and Wii, Chouteau says, “I don’t know the exact order in which [Plants vs. Zombies] will make its way onto other platforms, but it’s certainly been successful enough, quickly enough, that we’re looking at other platforms and deciding where we’ll take that game next….” Directly into our hearts, that’s where.
