Will this saga never end? Duke Begins is coming, like we said earlier, only back then we did not know who the developer would be. Thanks to those legal eagles over at ShackNews, that problem has been rectified and the winner is: Gearbox Software, best known for Brothers in Arms and Borderlands.

We could go into the deep, dark details of the whole infighting between the companies, but it boils down like this: Take-Two sued 3D Realms for dropping the ball on Duke Nukem Forever. 3D Realms said ‘Oh no you didn’t!’ and counter-sues Take-Two, to which Take-Two responds and drops the juicy tidbit about GearBox being involved with Duke Begins. Whew!

The rest of the story is filled with legal wrangling and number dropping, but what matters is that we might see our beloved Duke sometime soon.
