Yesterday Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling posted an unboxing video on YouTube for two Modern Warfare 2 collector editions. The first is the $80 Hardened Edition that includes the game, a steel case, artwork and a voucher for the original Call of Duty. The Prestige Edition is the king of the lot that contains both the Hardened Edition and a pair of fully functioning nightvision goggles. Infinity Ward’s Twitter now tell us all of this can be ours for $149.
When we’re done with modern killing we can take a time out for some nostalgia online killing in Call of Duty which, the tweet tells us, will fully support online multiplayer from day one as well. Pre-orders for the game are being accepted right now.

I can almost guarantee that these N.V.G will work moderately well.
By all means they won’t be at a military standard but definitely functional. My guess to how well they will work is anywhere from 100 to 150 feet of clear sight. I mean you can even by N.V.G at Walmart for about 50 bucks so forking up some extra money in my eyes is a pretty good deal. Plus including the other things that come with the prestige edition really makes it worth the money.

You can not get it before the release date. Prestige will be virtually impossible to find. I reserved mine of course and i knew some people who wanted it. I called around to many vendors and it is SOLD out. I on the other hand will be going up at midnight tonight to get mine. I am 26 and I am like a kid waiting for his first wagon on Christmas. NVG’s are fully functional with 50ft range. They are able to switch between black and white and of course NV green. OOOOOOHHHHH YEAH

How is that worth $150? .. If they had a special mw2 controller with it, the books, headset and the game.. THEN it would be worth it.
