It is a sad day in the gaming world as the upcoming new IP Necessary Force is no longer in development and has an uncertain future. The parent studio, Midway Newcastle, officially closed its doors today after a valiant battle to keep them open while looking for a buyer. Studio head Craig Duncan was even working around the clock to find a new owner after Midway dropped the studio during the acquisition by Warner Bros.
According to the game’s Twitter account, the game is not completely dead. It is “…just a matter of when and by which team/studio. All I know is I was part of a team which did its best and stayed professional til the end.”
