Microsoft to show off an as of yet unannounced project at Comic-Con
BY Nick Coffman Jul. 15th, 2009 More on:

Microsoft is bringing out the big guns for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Maybe being spurned on by Valve and their announcement to reveal a Left 4 Dead 2 campaign, Microsoft has revealed that a new title will be showcased at the preeminent funny-book festival. Unfortunately for us, and you fair reader, what the title is is still a mystery. Microsoft left it at that, calling the soon to be revealed morsel a “new, exciting unannounced project from one of our top franchises.”

Comic-Con is already a magical place that makes my heart flutter. Every year Comic-Con is growing in strength in the games industry as a viable outlet for showcasing new IPs and building up hype. Microsoft will also be showing off Halo: ODST while scores of other developers, such as the aforementioned Valve, will also make an appearance. Ubisoft, Blizzard, EA, BioWare and Naughty Dog have all announced either panels or showcases at the show. While a list like that does potentially guarantee an entertaining show we’ll still have to wait until Thursday 23rd before we know what Microsoft has up its sleave.
