Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 5 is porting to PC with some new features. A few new costumes, Mercenaries mode with more enemies, and oh yeah, the frickin’ third dimension.
As part of the “The Way It’s Meant To Be Played” partnership program, NVIDIA has brought its GeForce 3D Vision technology. The game experience, including all of the cutscenes, will be available in stereoscopic 3D effects. So get ready for zombies grabbing at your face, grenade explosions, giant monsters swinging giant claws, Wesker being a tool, and Sheva’s rockin’ bod in a glorious optical feast.
Resident Evil 5 is joining a very long list of games that already support NVIDIA’s 3D tech. If you want to see the tech in action, check out the free benchmark software. The game with 3D support will be showing off at Comic-Con and Penny Arcade Expo, and will release on September 15 in North America and September 18 in Europe.
