Bayonetta in 2010, unless you’re in Japan
BY Rain Anderson Jul. 17th, 2009 More on:

A while ago we learned that Sega’s new sadistically hard Bayonetta IP will be hair-kicking its way to Japan this October, something that Sega now says is not the case for the rest of the world. The company announced today that western markets will have to until January 2010 to get a close look at the carefully crafted buttox of lead character Bayonetta. Mike Hayes, President and COO for SEGA West, says the decision came after a market analysis which led them to choose January 2010 as the optimum release time so they could “maximize this exciting new title’s potential”.

Bayonetta is an extremely important new IP for SEGA and adds a new level of depth to our growing portfolio,” Hayes said.

If you’re in Japan, look for the game starting October 29.
