Bungie senior designer Lars Bakken told CVG that Halo: Reach will probably be Bungie’s last 360 Halo game.
“In terms of a platform for Halo’s games made by Bungie, yes. I can’t answer that question for Microsoft though. Whether they have something in the works or not, I don’t know if they’re actually ready to talk about it yet, but in terms of Bungie-produced Halo games, ODST and then Reach is probably all you’re going to get,” Bakken said.
In addition, Brakken also told CVG that Halo: ODST is “done”.
“From our standpoint, we had to get it done and get everybody working on Halo Reach. Looking at the portfolio as a whole and the title roll out, this coming September is the right time for [ODST's release],” he said.

To tell the truth I am actually glad Bungie is done working on Halo games. The only good Halo was the original in my opinion. The story was awesome, the single player was great, and even the multiplayer was good. Halo 2 and 3 were such big let downs to me. All Bungie did in Halo 2 and Halo 3 was strip the single player of all its fun and boost the multiplayer because in the end the multiplayer aspect of Halo is what gets it it’s pretty sales numbers. I would really like to see Randy Pitchford and Gearbox work on a Halo game, some Brothers in Arms type Halo shooter, and all ODST will turn out to be Halo 3.5 with some snazzy new visor modes and a rip off of Horde from Gears of War 2.
