Monster Hunter Tri gets U.S. date…kinda
BY Jason Son Aug. 3rd, 2009 More on:

We said “kinda” because the only thing publisher Capcom revealed today was that Monster Hunter 3Tri is officially headed to the U.S. and Europe in “early 2010.” We’re pretty sure fans of Monster Hunter would’ve already figured this out by now, but nonetheless, it’s still good news to hear the game will get Western localization. Siliconera guesses that Capcom is aiming for a release next March at the latest in order to pad those all-important end-of-fiscal-year numbers.

The Monster Hunter series has been hugely popular and successful in Japan due to its online capabilities, but there was no word yet on whether the Wii title will support a free online mode. Hopefully we’ll be able to shed some more light on it when Capcom decides to stop being so coy with its game news.
