Kotaku reports that Nintendo has sold 3,062,920 DSi units in Japan since it launched in November 2008. That brings the total DS units sold in Japan to 27 million. The July release of Dragon Quest reportedly has helped with moving of the units in the Land of the Rising Sun, although it seems the DSi doesn’t really need any help selling itself.

This begs the question: Who doesn’t have a DS of any type in Japan?
