Pre-order Gran Turismo PSP, get “exclusive” bonus cars
BY Raphael Cua Aug. 4th, 2009 More on:

Pre-order Gran Turismo for the PSP and you’ll get one of five “exclusive” cars. In-game, that is. The PlayStation Blog released the list of rare cars from which you can choose to zip through the virtual tracks on your PSP.

Keep in mind that these cars may already be in the game, but pre-ordering saves you the trouble of actually having to earn in-game cash to buy them, satisfying instant gratification for you lazy gamers out there.

And yes, one of the pre-order bonus cars is in fact, a 1974 Lamborghini Countach LP400. Sony has used this pre-order announcement malarkey to stealthily announce that Gran Turismo has finally got the Lamborghini license and the first Lamborghini in the series will be premiering on the PSP platform. Stephanie Yamamoto of The PlayStation Blog teases that “this won’t be the last Lamborghini in a Gran Turismo game, either.” So if you couldn’t care less about Gran Turismo on the PSP, at least you know that you can get your grubby hands on an Italian Bull in glorious high definition when Gran Turismo 5 comes out on the PS3 (whenever Sony decides on a release date).

Gran Turismo for the PSP, on the other hand, is coming out in October.

I’m a GT whore but there’s no way I’m getting this. PSP and racing games don’t go well, with that cramped form factor (and that’s just the 1/2/3000 series, let alone the Go) and the hard-to-move-slightly analogue “stick”.
