Activision has a monster franchise in Modern Warfare and they’re dead set on unleashing the brand on every viable platform. They have just sent out a press release announcing that the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is coming out on the Wii on Nov. 10, the same day Modern Warfare 2 is released.
The 2007 behemoth that monopolized PS3, Xbox 360, and PC users’ free time is being ported on the Wii, with Treyarch at the helm. Treyarch has ported previous Call of Duty games to the Wii, including Call of Duty 3 and Call of Duty: World at War.
It seems Activision is eager to saturate the market with all things Modern Warfare this winter. They just recently announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Mobilised for the DS, a new map pack forĀ Call of Duty: World at War, and even a World at War iPhone app.

So lame. I see this as their ways to get some quick cash on the Wii. Unless they can match The Conduit’s controls, I’m not interested in a 2 year old game. Already owned the dang game.

Yea, I’ve already beaten COD 4 like a bajillion times already, but it would still be interesting to see how it plays.
