Modern Warfare 2 DLC count remains at two
BY Rain Anderson Aug. 6th, 2009 More on:

Back during Microsoft’s E3 presentation this June, then corporate vice president of Xbox Live software and services John Schappert announced that Xbox 360 owners will be getting two pieces of downloadable content for Modern Warfare 2 as timed exclusives. Now, Michael Griffith, president & CEO of Activision’s publishing unit, has revealed that this is all the DLC they currently have planned.

“In terms of online content, we plan to launch two separate map packs for this title,” Griffith said during Activision’s Q2 call yesterday. “Map packs help extend the shelf life of the franchise, as evidenced by the strong catalog sales and premium pricing that we maintained a year-and-a-half after launch. Life to date, we’ve had strong success with map packs on this franchise, selling more than 8 million units for both the Xbox 360 and PS3″ — a number that’s probably getting a nice boost today with the launch of Map Pack 3 for Call of Duty: World at War.

When the Modern Warfare 2 DLC will arrive or how long the timed exclusivity deal with Microsoft runs for was not disclosed during the call.

If they already know they will have 2 map packs are the complete? I hate the idea of paying for something later that you should have gotten for free from the start.

Am I the only one that would like to see some Nazi zombie packs for this COD? I mean, being able to take them down with modern weapons….niiiiiice.
