The first public showings of Brink and Rage, the shooters from Splash Damage and id Software, respectively, will take place at QuakeCon later this week. The gameplay from the games have so far been shown only to the media (check our Brink impressions here) and behind closed doors, but the fan-oriented event will finally show what the ambitious titles are trying to do to the world.

The Mad Maxesque Rage will be shown off on Saturday by creative director Tim Willits and lead designer Matt Hooper while Splash Damage CEO and game director Paul Wedgwood will be giving the audience a taste of what the all-in-one Brink is all about a day earlier.

We fully expect quality footage from both showings to hit the net shortly after.
