Codemasters has released the first of what will be several developer videos detailing the upcoming Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. If the phrases at the beginning of the video are any indication then future videos should focus on the mission editor, visuals, and audio, among others. But first up is the Hardcore Mode aka the military sim fanatic’s wildest fantasy — no HUD, no reticule, just a map and off you go.

The game’s out this October for the 360, PS3 and of course PC. A demo should arrive before that.
