More Metal on the way: Rock Band Metal Track Pack dated for ROCKtober
BY Joshua Kopstein Aug. 13th, 2009 More on:

Just in case that Brütal Legend soundtrack announcement wasn’t enough to get you excited for the newly re-branded month of ROCKtober, EA is saying that they’ll be giving us another excuse to throw up the horns this Fall: Harmonix and MTV have just announced that the Rock Band Metal Track Pack is set to launch on October 13th, the very same day as Tim Schafer’s highly-anticipated music adventure game.

The Track Pack will add 20 shred-tacular songs to your plastic band’s repertoire, six of which are completely new to Rock Band and will be exclusive to the Track Pack disc for a limited time.  The new cuts include tracks from Rage Against The Machine, Hawkwind, Nazareth, Blue Öyster Cult, I Mother Earth and Motörhead. The pack will retail for a sensible $29.99, so as not to break the banks of any hard-drinking, hard-living virtual rock stars out there. Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will be able to import all these tracks to their hard drives lickedy-split. Wii owners? Well, you know how that story goes.

The month of Rocktober is certainly doing a bang-up job living up to its name.  Hit the jump to see the full list of tracks you’ll be throwing down to this Fall.
