Now there’s a picture of the PS3 price drop |

In case your assumption that the system was just plain overdue for a price drop at this point wasn’t enough to confirm that Sony’s machine was going to get some good bit cheaper some time soon, then maybe pictures of an advertisement from f.y.e., an otherwise terrible store, showing a $100 drop in price on both current SKUs, making your choices $299 for the 80gb and $399 for the 160gb, will be convincing. None too shabby, really.
Bear in mind, though, that there’s no confirmation when that ad is supposed to run. The rumor is as early tomorrow, but can be as late as next month. The certainty, though, went up a few notches. So that’s cool.

It’s so easy to fake this sort of thing that I won’t believe any of it until I hear it come out of an SCE executive’s mouth.
Roll on Tuesday. If it isn’t Sony’s biggest ever PlayStation reveal (and I mean ever) they’re absolutely screwed this gen. No way back. Bare minimum, $100 price drop, new form factor, early December global release for GT5 and some big new game announcements.

Are you kidding me? Their prices are crazy. Even the used games are expensive.
