Prison Break game acquires new publisher
BY Matt Brooker Aug. 15th, 2009 More on:

A game based on the popular TV series Prison Break has found a new home with Deep Silver. Despite the demise of its original publisher, Brash Entertainment, late last year, the project has found its footing and will be released for current-gen consoles and PC at some point. No word of a release date just yet.

The game is still being developed by Zootfly and will “offer the same blend of action and suspense as the show”, according to Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Deep Silver’s parent company Koch Media. “Who doesn’t love the thrill of a prison break?”

I, for one, am not particularly thrilled with the idea of a prison break. The fact that it is just a videogame only slightly reduces my fear of shiv-wielding convicts running amuck. The idea of escaping a prison, however, does seem like something that could translate very easily into a videogame. Hopefully the game appeals to fans of the show as well as regular old gamers who are just looking to break outta some prisons.

The same blend of action and suspence that got the show cancelled? Awesome!
