Hitman 5 not coming from Rocksteady Studios |

A few days ago, motion capture artist Mark Sloan stirred up rumours that Batman: Arkham Asylum devs Rocksteady Studios were working on Hitman 5, according to his resume. That was bad of him, very bad of him indeed, because it was not true. “This is the first I’ve heard about it. Hitman always has been and always will be IO Interactive’s baby, which it still continues to be so. Rocksteady are not involved with the development of Hitman 5,” stated Ian Livingstone, Eidos’ life president in a recent Q&A at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival.
So that’s that, no drastic dev changes for Hitman 5 after all. That doesn’t change the fact that it’s been quite a long time since we saw Agent 47 in action, and we’re getting quite impatient waiting for him to step out of the shadows once more.

As much as I’m looking forward to Arkham, if only for the novelty factor (demo was ok, but not long enough to give me an idea of just how grand it might be later on), this is good news. IO has yet to make a really bad Hitman game.. just as long as they keep evolving the series.
