Bad Company 2 dated, kissed, taken back to her place
BY Lee Bradley Aug. 18th, 2009 More on:

DICE have announced the release date for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The game hits North American shelves on Mar. 2 next year, while Europe has to hang on a few extra days until Mar. 5.

To go along with the news, there’s also a nifty new trailer (below) and some snazzy new screens, all of which tick the right boxes. There are some lingering question marks over the game itself, however. Nobody can deny DICE’s pedigree when it comes to online shooters, and the original Bad Company game was fun. But with destructible environments being a central selling point of the Bad Company series, Bad Company 2 now has to go up against Red Faction: Guerrilla, the new daddy of the boom and crumple. We’ll see if DICE are up to the challenge next year. At EA’s GamesCom press conference, where a few guys from DICE said they’re going to redefine online gaming, they sure seemed to have enough confidence.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company, which was the game that came out before it. Featuring a group (or ‘company’) of soldiers who are not good (’bad’), Bad Company 2 takes place in, on, or around a battlefield. It is made by DICE, the makers of Battlefield: Bad Company. And it’s a sequel.

Don’t ever say TVGB don’t teach you good.
