Although the insanity of Borderlands is yet to hit us, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford doesn’t stand on his heels, and has already confirmed that there will be at least 2 DLC heading our way. As if the ridiculous number of weapons you’ll be able to cause chaos with and the 100 hours of content wasn’t enough.
At GamesCom, while talking about DLC, Pitchford told Eurogamer that “people are going to be surprised when they find out how quickly we’re coming, and with what content we’re coming,” but adding also that they’re still holding in on a few things to see how people react to what is already given to them, and in case the game needs it, make adjustments accordingly. Despite this plausible wait, he didn’t go without mentioning that they “do have some plans for the initial stuff already in motion,” and that an official statement is soon to be.
And there was obviously time to throw in a well deserved bragging comment that went something like this, “Man, I tell ya, this is the best thing we’ve ever done, the best my studio’s ever done. We’re really proud of it.”
Keep an eye on this FPS/RPG fusion, coming October 20th and 23rd (US and Europe respectively) on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
