It’s been a curiosity, at best. Ever since it was announced that Final Fantasy XIII was coming to the Xbox 360, it’s been a wonder how a game that was initially slated to fit on one Blu-ray disc was going to fit on DVDs. Specifically, how many was it going to take? At GamesCom, Squre Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase gave a not-so-definitive answer, but an answer all the same, “This isn’t the final count yet, but we’re aiming for about three discs.”
The main goal: compress the hell out of the content without sacrificing quality. With a goal of keeping both versions identical, one can only hope for the best, and let Lost Odyssey keep the title of “Game with the most Discs.”
And still waiting on that release date… yup.

I know it won’t be complteley true but I believe the majority of people buying it on the 360 will be fanboys. I know of one who will buy it on 360 just to say “HA!” Final Fantasy fans have grown up on Sony and portable products.

If its compressed more, doesn’t that mean much longer load times?
