In an interview with VG247, id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead revealed that an open multiplayer beta for Rage was in “doubt,” though he did leave the door open to possible demos for their upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter. He seemed optimistic, saying that id may offer them in some form or another but also cautioned that nothing’s “set in stone” yet. Hollenshead didn’t mention the 360 or PS3 when discussing likelihood of demos but, of course, a non-mention isn’t a reason to start gnashing teeth and tearing one’s hair out. But we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on it just in case it becomes one.
