Tricia Helfer’s reign continues off of her huge success from Battlestar Galactica — it was announced at BlizzCon that Helfer will be replacing Glynnis Talken Cambell as the voice of Sarah Kerrigan in StarCraft II. Cambell voiced Kerrigan in the first StarCraft as well as in the Brood War expansion, which is easily the most popular RTS game of all time, so it is actually a large role to fill. Tricia Helfer is no stranger to voice work however, having already appeared in Command & Conquer 3 and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. She also has a role in the upcoming Halo 3: ODST.
It goes without saying that StarCraft II will be an ongoing project for Blizzard, so good for her!

Too bad. Cambell was and forever will be Kerrigan in my mind. And while Tricia has done some good work, acting and voices both, it will still be sad to hear a new voice replacing the one I’ve got in my mind when picturing the original Queen of Blades.

it’s inexcusable that, after hearing Talken’s voice for over a decade as Kerrigan, they would replace her now with someone who was obviously cast on their TV-popularity and looks. especially when Talken was more than willing to reprise her role.
this is stunt-casting bullshit and im deeply disappointed in Blizzard. i’ve always considered them above this kind of “corporate first, fans second” mentality but these past two years have been real eye opening.
it’s a miracle they got Clotworthy and Harper to return as Raynor & Mengsk.
