Oh Blizzard, sometimes you get you get release dates right and sometimes you don’t. But that’s okay because we know your games will be released when they’re done. We’re looking at you Mike Morhaime.
Speaking of Mike Morhaime, Blizzard president, he was at BlizzCon last week giving out interviews among other things, and during one of them said they’re targeting a 2010 release for the newly announced Cataclysm expansion for World of Warcraft.
That makes two titles that Blizzard is targeting for a 2010 release, including StarCraft II. And perhaps Diablo III makes three (Update: or not). We’re guessing Blizzard is looking towards a Q4 2010 release of Cataclysm, it worked well for the Lich King.

I think it’s coming Feb 2010. I have a feeling they’re a lot further along then they lead on and I think they’ve been working on revamping Azeroth on the side since they came up with the notion of flying mounts. Beta By Nov 09, release on Feb 2010. We’ll get Icecrown by the end of Sept and maybe one more throw away patch before the the Cataclysm releases.
