News of a Final Fantasy VII remake “at a later time” |

Square Enix is the ultimate tease. She tosses out a PS3 tech demo of Final Fantasy VII at E3 2005, but she doesn’t give up the goods. Instead, we get Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and The Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, akin to second and third base of videogame foreplay. But Square Enix isn’t about to invite us into her promised land. At least not yet.
Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase hinted to VideoGamer about news on a Final Fantasy VII remake. “As for a VII remake, all I can advise right now is to play the PSN release that just came out for the time being. Maybe, perhaps we’ll have some news for you at a later time.”
With that, Square Enix continues to tease and torture for her own twisted pleasure while we suffer through an appropriately epic case of blue balls.

At this point i’d much rather wait and have it be a launch title for the playstation 4.
It would probably be the better strategic move for sony and Sqare.
