Up until a month ago when the black Wii finally launched in Japan, the only choice of color available anywhere in the world was the all-white system. And no black bundles, or any other colors, have been announced for other parts of the world, despite the desperate outcries from fans. But, Nintendo has announced what may be the next best thing — black Wii peripherals.
Hitting the North American shops this holiday season will be a black Wii Remote bundled with a black Wii MotionPlus. Referring to them as “the first new color,” it sounds like Nintendo may be bringing out a wider variety of colors in the future.
A black Nunchuk was also announced, which will be available as a standalone purchase as usual. But colored Wiis remain as evasive as ever.
