L4D2: Don’t forget to hit a clown in the face

Between my sessions of checking out the newly-revealed Dark Carnival map that was showed off for Left 4 Dead 2, chatting up Valve’s Chet Faliszek, as well as getting obliterated by the new special infected, The Jockey, at PAX last week, I heard an interesting snippet said by one of the ladies handing out shirts at Valve’s booth. Unfortunately I can not confirm this as I didn’t fight any clowns up close, nor can you hear a goddamn thing inside of PAX without headphones, but apparently when you melee a zombie clown in the face, you’ll get a lovely nose squeak out of it. So consider those little red noses of theirs as a bullseyes. On top of that, their big clown shoes can be heard shambling in the distance in all their demented glory. If that doesn’t freak you out, I don’t know what else I can do.

The game itself is wicked fun just like its predecessor of course, all the weapons are more detailed and sound crunchier (think Gears of War vs Gears of War 2), although it was pretty hard to enjoy the game to its fullest as all the teams were unfocused PAXers.
