Travis Touchdown goes 8-bit for No More Heroes 2
BY Kristen Spencer Sep. 8th, 2009 More on:

The great thing about No More Heroes‘ Travis Touchdown, besides the fact that he’s a nerd turned beam katana-wielding assassin, is his love of videogames.

Yes, it doesn’t get more meta than a videogame character who himself loves videogames, a point that the series’ hyper self-aware creator, Suda51, plans to drive home in the sequel. Whereas No More Heroes featured a single minigame homage to the 8-bit era, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle transforms all the part time job side-missions into classic NES side-scrollers. Whether collecting coconuts, flipping burgers or working out at the gym, Travis will see the city of Santa Destroy in glorious low definition. Retro love!
