UK supporting the games industry should be “a no-brainer”
BY Jason Townsend-Rogers Sep. 12th, 2009 More on:

According to Shadow Culture Minister Ed Vaizey, the British government spends too much of its time talking about videogame violence, and not enough time looking at the positive aspects of games. Vaizey’s comments came as he was registering for the London Games Conference in October, where he will be speaking.

Vaizey continues by praising the games industry as “one of the most successful creative industries in the UK, as well as one that actually rewards individuals who are well-versed in difficult subjects like math and science.”

To Vaizey, the government backing the videogame industry should be “a no-brainer.”

I couldn’t agree more.
